Was This His Wake Up Call?

Last three days were hell....I am not going to pour out my feelings.....I did that yesterday......

Today I will share with you WHAT brought out those feelings.....

It's Saturday morning and we are getting ready to leave.....getting ready to spend next 5 days at our trailer parked at a campground resort in the US.....45 minute drive (and 30-50 minute wait at the border) from our home.

It's only Hormone Boy, Little Peanut and myself.....Average Joe is away for the summer.

Being a little bit of a control freak I pack everything myself....except......

I let Hormone Boy pack all his diabetic supplies he will need for next 7 days (I always make sure he brings 2 day reserve in case of emergency).

36 Hours Of Fear....Prayers....Hope

.......life did not prepare me to be a MOTHER of a teenage boy.....PERIOD.....never mind being a mother of teen with Type 1 diabetes who is in denial or rebelling.....or whatever it is he's been doing to make my life miserable.....living hell....stressful......scary....emotional......roller-coaster......for past 8 months.

I am not going to tell you How It Feels To Live With Type 1 Diabetes.......because.....I DON'T KNOW....

I am going to tell you How It Feels To Have A Child With Type 1 Diabetes.....teenager....to be exact....

This is me....in a nutshell.....since December 2005......

Scared.....FRUSTRATED.....angry......emotional.....PARANOID......exhausted.....stressed..... 

OVERPROTECTIVE......tired.....hopeful.....LOST!

Pool Occupancy Equals Minus One Negative

...One of few responsibilities of Hormone Boy is.......to take Little Peanut to the pool.....cause as per rules he needs supervision from someone over 14....

You all know how I feel about NOT following rules while camping.....and in case you don't......read my CAMPING ETIQUETTE.

In this case...... and right now LP is more mature and better swimmer then hormonal teen obnoxious, loud brother, but rules are rules.

What kind of "real" teenager would HB be if he just happily took his brother to the pool when asked?.....yeah.....not in this life. He comes up with some interesting things to make it as hard on Little Peanut as he can....

Few days after the wedding took place I took Little Peanut shopping with me.....as we were walking by the T-shirt aisle he noticed this fetching TUXEDO T-SHIRT.....complete with a white rose in his lapel.

Tales From The Hammock - Repeated Offenders

Greetings from the hammock!

The campground hasn't been that busy and the observing from my hammock is not going that well.....

.....we have few repeated offenders from last year and between you and me the year wasn't very kind to them...still rude and obnoxious.....parents still oblivious busy drinking and behaving badly to the behaviour of their offsprings....

....the offsprings....however.....learned many new things over the 12 months....they were busy building better vocabulary and now they happily share it with the rest of the children and occupants of this fine campground.

Quoting one of the teen girls at the pool after disapproving of the hers and her little brother's language in front of  Little Peanut...."CARING IS SHARING"......there you have it.....right from the Future Leader Of Tomorrow.

 Summer break is here and Average Joe is spending it far, far away from home...a man gotta do what a man gotta do, right?

Anyway, right before he left he set me up and the boys for the summer at the campground just like last year.

It is only 45 minute drive from our home and it is in another country so apparently it counts as a vacation....yes I am vacationing abroad..... in the USA.
