September 12, 2011 is a day that my little town will never forget.....
At about 2am a suspicious fire disrupted sleep of many residents of Oliver......especially our hard -working volunteer firefighters.
Our town's legacy.....our High school known to us as the SOSS was on fire.
30 firefighters were trying to save our beloved learning institution, but 5 hours later they lost the fight and the flames destroyed most of the high school.....
It was a quiet morning in Oliver....many of the high school students.....their families....residents gathered around the fence and watched whatever was left of our school......
.....the only part still standing was the new gymnasium and superlab.....everything else was LOST FOREVER!
It was hard couple of days.....we mourned our loss and now it's time to move on.....
......come together as the community we are.....clean-up......rebuild and start making new memories!
