Threatening Letter Wasn't On My Christmas List

I received an unusual Christmas Gift this year....I still don't know how I feel about it.

It all started in August this year with a "little post" I wrote for my Daily Organized Chaos about Automatic Profit System.

My girlfriend wanted to purchase it to make a "quick buck", but I had to research it first...of course.

After hours of researching all signs pointed to SCAM so I decided to share my findings with other moms.

I had NO IDEA how far this little article will go and I had NO IDEA how many people got scammed by APS.

I just wanted other moms like me to do the research before they get all excited and hand over their credit cards.

Well, to make long story short on Christmas Eve I received an email from a lawyer asking me to remove my post and all of it's comments (there was not one positive comment).

According to his client the Automatic Profit System I wrote the post specifically to trash their good name and promote OTHER money making internet products.

Apparently my post is interfering with their business and it's hurting their relationship with their existing and new customers.

APS also feels that most if not all comment on that particular post are fake.

When I wrote the article I was hoping that people who had a success using that system will come forward and leave a positive comment, but no such thing happened. That is not my fault.......hear me David Palmer?

The wonderful lawyer also forbid me to quote and/or reprint his email to me????????????????????

Why? Is he hiding something?

However he did not forbid me to mention the email! So I am mentioning it.

I have a suggestion....if David Palmer is so concerned about my little blog writing about him them he should just contact me and show me/teach me for FREE ($97 value) how to make $150,000.00 in a year while working 1 hour a week pushing a button on my computer with no experience (his claims).

Did anything like this happen to you?

What would you do? Would you take the post down?

Would you write another post mentioning the lawyer email and asking David Palmer to teach you his system for free so you can admit you were wrong and his system is not a scam?

I need your help....what do you think?

P.S. How many emails like this you need to receive to make it big in a blog world? Am I on my way?

A Day Mother Never Forgets

December 21st, 2005......was one of the WORST DAYS of my life.

My beautiful 8 year old dare-devil was diagnosed with JUVENILE DIABETES and our lives changed forever.

It was also a day when I started believing in guarding angels.

Hormone Boy wasn't feeling well for few days. He just came home from exhausting 3 day hockey tournament. He was white, fragile and it looked like life was slowly leaving his little body.

Average Joe was at work so I loaded up the boys in my minivan and headed to see our doctor.

It was snowing....I was freaking out....Little Peanut was screaming in a back seat.

As I was approaching the highway my van hit a patch of black ice. I had to think fast. Huge semi was heading straight for us. I turned my wheels as hard as I could knowing that my kids are safe in the back I crashed into a telephone pole in order to stop the van.

My passenger side was damaged, but we were safe and away from highway.

Average Joe picked us up, called the tow truck and took us to see our doctor.

Dr.E immediately checked HB's blood glucose levels and sent us to the hospital.

By the time we were admitted to the emergency ward HB's blood levels were so very high that everybody was surprised my child wasn't in coma.

There was somebody watching over us that day.........................

HB and I  - June 2010 - Walk To Cure Diabetes

We've been dealing with this horrible disease ever since the best way we can.

When I was sitting in a hospital looking at my baby's little fragile body I decided that December 21st will be "My Hero Day."

Ever since then December 21st is a special day. On this day Hormone Boy gets spoiled and he gets to do and eat whatever he wants (under mom's watchful eye).

Last few months since entering high school HB has been sabotaging everything that has to do with his disease. He's been pretending he is "normal teenager". He's having such a hard time and it breaks my heart.

I know life will get back to normal and I have to be strong and support him.

That's why this year's HERO DAY is so much more important. Today I have a special day planned for HB and myself. Just two us...talking...eating.....shopping....having fun.

HB and his ANGELS

If you like to know the signs of Type 1 diabetes read my old post Don't ignore the signs.

Preparing For The Holidays - WW

The little annoying Advent Calendars on the wall keep reminding me that Christmas is ONLY 9 days away.

Looks like sleeping till Christmas is over is not an option for me.As every year I am behind on pretty much EVERYTHING.....baking.....shopping.....cleaning.....cooking.....wrapping.

However, as I promised I will NOT stress out too much this year. Especially since the main reason why I am behind AGAIN is:

I AM SPENDING LOTS OF TIME DOING HOLIDAY STUFF WITH MY KIDDIES!

The best reason to be behind on your work if you ask me.

Let me show you what we have been up to last few days.

HB and LP were put their skills together to build a Gingerbread Train

LP proud of the finished project and asking when he can eat it

I was in charge of Gingerbread House (I didn't give them choice)

We baked Average Joe's favorite Chocolate Mint Cookies

We baked Little Peanut's favorite Peanut Butter Oatmeal Gems

...and we baked this year newcomer to our Christmas baking list - Christmas Doilies

This week I am joining A Lot Of Loves for Wednesday of Few Words, 5 Minutes For Moms and Go Graham Go for Wordless Wednesday and Parenting By Dummies for Wordful Wednesday.

Let's start the week with catching the Train and Shake up Christmas with them.

Ho Ho Ho
Shake up the Happiness
Wake up the Happiness
Shake up the happiness
It's Christmas time

There's a story that I was told
and I wanna tell the world before I get too old
I don't remember it,
so lets December it and reassemble it
oh yea...
once upon a time in a town like this
a little girl made a great big wish
to fill the world with happiness and
be on Santa's magic list

[Chorus1]
Shake it up
shake up the happiness
wake it up
wake up the happiness
come on y'all
It's Christmas time

Repeat Chorus 1

Ho Ho Hoaaoh
Ho Ho Hoaaoh
It's Christmas time

At the same time miles away
a little boy made a wish that day
that the world would be okay
if Santa Claus would hear him say

I got dreams and I got love
and my feet on the ground and
a family above me
can ya send some happiness
and my best to the people of the east and the west and
maybe once in a while you'll
give my grandma a reason to smile
tis the season to smile
it's cold but we'll be freezin in style

let me meet a girl one day
who wants to spread some love this way

we can let our souls run free
and shaking up some happiness

[Chorus2]
we'll shake it up
shake up the happiness
wake it up
wake up the happiness
come on y'all
its Christmas time

repeat chorus2

I know you're out there
  I hear your reindeer
  I see the snow where
your boots have been
I'm gonna show them
someday we'll know then
their love will grow there
and they'll live again

repeat chorus 1 twice

Ho Ho Hoaaoh
Ho Ho Hoaaoh
Its Christmas time

Ho Ho Hoaaoh
Ho Ho Hoaaoh

[ho ho hoaahh] Shake it up
Shake up the happiness [ho ho hoaaoh]
Wake it up
Wake up the happiness [ho ho hoaaoh]
come on y'all
it's Christmas time

repeat ^

ho ho hoaaoh
ho ho hoaaoh
ho ho hoaaoh
it's Christmas time

Breaking the Christmas Curse

14 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!!!

I love Christmas ever since I was a little girl. I still remember all of the Christmases at my grandma's house. There was always so many people, so much food, lots of presents and the HUGE TREE by the window.

When I turned 12 I became the main decorator of  THE Christmas tree. It was my job and I was in charge.

Ever since then I've been cursed....yes, I have the curse of the PERFECT CHRISTMAS.

Things change with time, but I refuse to believe it. As my son would say: "I reject your reality and I substitute it with mine".

This little Christmas curse caused me so much stress and headache over the years trying to strive for perfection.

Every year I try harder and harder and people around me just won't cooperate. What is wrong with them? I know I am perfectly normal (she said with reaching for another Prozac)!!!

So this year I made a decision and I decided to break THE CHRISTMAS CURSE.

Yes, the curse of Perfect Christmas will be broken and tradition of Awesome Christmas will be born.

This year:

  1. I will  let my children help me to decorate (it won't be perfect and I might require heavy medication, but I will let them)
  2.  I will make Christmas menu in advance (hosting dinner for 15+) and I will ask my guests to bring certain food or dishes (depends on their cooking skills)
  3. Average Joe will be home for the entire holidays
  4. Our house will be finished and we will have actual walls with proper decorations
  5. I will not get upset if my kids decide to build Gingerbread Fort instead Christmas Village
  6. I will not stress about little things that are not done, but I will pour myself a glass of wine and enjoy the things that are done
  7. I will not organize the gifts under the tree according to their size and color (I am a sick, sick mama - I know).
  8. I will not stress about dirty dishes and worry about people loading my dishwasher the wrong way
  9. I will not worry about having enough food and pleasing everybody (they can go to A&W if they wish)
  10. I will have fun with my children and maybe even act like a teenager not a Stepford Wife

Good Bye Norman Rockwell Perfect Christmas and hello Norman Rockwell Redneck Christmas (well, not quite, but you get the point).

Stupidity Must Run In My Family

Yesterday after my appointment at the vein clinic I decided to do some last Christmas shopping and stock up on some holiday snacks.

The vein clinic is about 1,5 hour drive from our home so Average Joe decided to take me. Last time after the visit at the clinic I came out wearing very sexy compression stocking and my leg was killing me.

So my wonderful AJ came along despite his busted knee which is healing very nicely I might ad. Yes, we are couple of cripples hopping around the house.

Anyway, back to the shopping. As usual AJ drove me nuts. I love the man, but shopping with him especially for gifts and special treats stuff we don't need in his world is a freaking nightmare.

Courtesy of Google Images

As usual the shopping trip ended in a fight.

It must have been the combination of the pain, tight stocking, hunger and just the need to pick a fight.

One thing you need to know....our fights are ONE WAY fights. I fight and AJ just goes about his business. I get cranky, moody and stuff keeps coming up....regular bitch on a broomstick.

It drives me nuts when he doesn't fight with me. Sometimes girl just needs a good old fashioned fight.

So there we were in a car driving home....QUIETLY. Me stewing and being all mightier then thou.

I looked at AJ and there was this calmness across his face.

Then I thought....what am I doing? Why am I fighting with this wonderful man....about NOTHING.

Yes, AJ is a messy. He snores and makes weird noises when sleeping. He has not organizational skills whatsoever. He forgets appointments. He puts the toilet paper roll under and not over. When he cooks kitchen becomes a war zone and it takes me hours to clean. He leaves bathroom without towels. He can't put away groceries the right way or load the dishwasher the right way. He leaves mess in the microwave and on a stove......BUT......

This is the BIG BUT......the second he became a DAD everything he does is for me and our boys.

Our well-being is the most important thing in his life. He's involved in every aspect of our boys lives. He supports them, he encourages them, he praises them and he punishes them.

Being on the road a lot he always finds a way to let us know how much we mean to him every single day.

His I LOVE YOU is the first thing we hear when we wake up and the last thing we hear before we go to sleep.

So why am I picking fights with this man?

Because I am STUPID! I have no other explanation.....do you?

Well, and the fact that my mom and my sister do the same thing....stupidity runs in our family.

BTW, I got some wicked deals shopping and AJ was very impressed with my shopping SKILLZ.

Some Things Are Just WRONG

Finally......it's snowing!

I hate cold Winter without snow. Don't you?

I grew up in a Ski Resort so white Christmas brings back lots of memories and the fact that it all looks so pretty.

Anyway, "My name is Bibi and I am a hockey mom".....sorry, I thought this was the freaks with cowbells Hockey Parents Support Group. We so need one.

This past weekend I spent at the hockey arena screaming my head off supporting Little Peanut and his team during their 3 day tournament.

Usually, I am the one in charge the head honcho, big cheese, crazy hockey mama of the tournament, but not this year.

First time in 8 years, I decided that someone else should get a crack at it instead of just complaining and judging.

Well, I discovered that next year I either have to bite the bullet and jump back on the coordinating horse or I need to stay away from the tournament.

There were people running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Nobody knew what to do, where to go...it was a MESS.

Somehow it all worked out in the end and we got through it. So KUDOS to the hockey mom who got sucked into doing it this year.

The best part of the tournament being sarcastic here was when John Mellencamp's - Hurt So Good song came blasting through the speakers at the end of my son's game......it was not a little part of the song.....it was the complete SHOO BANG....the whole enchilada.....the real deal!

Yes.......

Lord knows there are things we can do, baby
Just me and you, come on and make it up

Hurt so good

Come on baby, make it hurt so good

.....was blasting through the arena during 7-8 year olds hockey tournament.

I LOVE John , but this song and Dance Naked are two songs I do not play in front of my children....call me prude, but there is where I draw the line. I don't need my 8 year old and his friends walking around singing" Come on baby, make it hurt so good" without even thinking. I wouldn't blame them cause it is a catchy song.....after all.

But now it's Christmas

Thank God it's Christmas

The moon and stars seem awful cold and bright
Lets hope the snow will make this Christmas right
My friend the world will share this special night
Because it's Christmas

Thank God it's Christmas
For one night

Thank God it's Christmas yeah
Thank God it's Christmas
Thank God it's Christmas
Can it be Christmas?
Let it be Christmas
Every day

Oh, my love we've lived in troubled days
Oh, my friend we have the strangest ways
All my friends on this one day of days
Thank God it's Christmas
Yes it's Christmas
Thank God it's Christmas
For one day

Thank God it's Christmas
Yes it's Christmas
Thank God it's Christmas
Oooh yeah
Thank God it's Christmas
Yes, yes, yes, yes it's Christmas
Thank God it's Christmas

That's Not A Ninja Mouse - Part 1

Once upon a time.....there was a mouse. Mighty Warrior Mouse.

Nice story tale beginning isn't it? Except this damn rodent mighty warrior decided to live in my house.

Courtesy of Google Images
First I noticed little black presents in my pantry. Armed with bleach, gloves and brush I took care of MY business.

It was time for Average Joe to take care of HIS man the mighty protector business.

The traps were set. They were filled with Peanut Butter against my strongly worded suggestion.

The queen and the kingdom went to bed.

It's 2am and the queen ME has no choice, but to visit the royal throne bladder ain't what it used to be.

As I am taking care of my royal business suddenly......dirty rodent the mighty warrior appears out of nowhere.

There he is starring at me with those creepy red rodent eyes. I screamed with my very girlie inside scream in a fear of waking up the kingdom.

He ran under the washing machine and I ran into my bedroom.

Let's just say I spend the rest of the night sitting in my bed and listening to every little noise and every little movement. I could hear that little dirty bastard mouse everywhere.

By the time morning came I was so exhausted and sleepy, but there is not sleep for wicked as THEY say.

(Not sure who are THEY and what gives them the power to say such things, but THEY do anyway)

Courtesy of Google Images
My pantry was full of little presents again, but who needs sleep when you can bleach and scrub something. Every single trap was licked clean. Average Joe failed me big time.

Little Peanut kept running around the house and yelling: "We have a NINJA MOUSE how cool is that?"

Well, dear son.....Ninjas are not to be seen or heard. On that note Hormone Boy chimes in with all of his teenage wisdom: "It's not a ninja mouse. It is highly trained tactical assault mouse."

Courtesy of Google Images

There you have it people I have a personal house security guard that leaves little gross and potentially harmful presents behind.

Average Joe decided to tune up the traps and get more creative....did he succeeded you ask?

Tune back tomorrow to find out.....which reminds me.....tomorrow is the eve of Saint Nicholas Day.....are you ready?

Decking The Halls & Such

"December is here. December is here. Mom, where are our Advent calendars? I want my chocolate!"......what a perfect way to wake up. Wouldn't you say?

Yes, December is here and let the stress begin. Bring it on!

Last weekend we managed to "deck the halls" sort of speak. We have no halls. Our house is total open concept so no halls to deck.

This was the earliest I ever decorated the house. I don't know why, but it just felt right. Decorated house brings certain calmness.

I was thinking about last Christmas and I realized just how far come.

Some of you might still remember my last year pictures with unfinished walls wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper trying to cover the "depressing look" of drywall and mud. Hanging sheets on the walls to cover the plastic and insulation look.

I am happy to announce that our house is finished and finally after 3 years we celebrate the holidays in a warm and cozy house.

Are your halls all decked out yet?

Don't let the holidays stress you out. Remember to take time for yourself and laugh a lot at others.
