Since this week is a FREEBIE week I would like to present to you Mr. John Mellencamp and Cherry Bomb.

Well I lived on the outskirts of town
In an eight room farmhouse, baby
When my brothers and friends were around
There was always somethin' doin'

Had me a couple of real nice girlfriends
Stopped by to see me every once in a while
When I think back about those days
All I can do is sit and smile

That's when a sport was a sport
And groovin' was groovin'
And dancin' meant everything
We were young and we were improvin'

Laughin', laughin' with our friends
Holdin' hands meant somethin', baby
Outside the club, 'Cherry Bomb'
Our hearts were really thumpin'

Say, "Yeah yeah yeah"
Say, "Yeah yeah yeah"

The winter days, they last forever
But the weekends went by so quick
Went ridin' around this little country town
We were goin' nuts, girl, out in the sticks

One night, me with my big mouth
A couple guys had to put me in my place
When I see those guys these days
We just laugh and say, "Do you remember when

That's when a sport was a sport
And groovin' was groovin'
And dancin' meant everything?"
We were young and we were improvin'

Laughin', laughin' with our friends
Holdin' hands meant somethin', baby
Outside the club, 'Cherry Bomb'
Our hearts were really thumpin'

Say, "Yeah yeah yeah"
Say, "Yeah yeah yeah"
Alright

Say, "Yeah yeah yeah"
Say, "Yeah yeah yeah"

Seventeen has turned thirty-five
I'm surprised that we're still livin'
If we've done any wrong
I hope that we're forgiven

Got a few kids of my own
And some days I still don't know what to do
I hope that they're not laughing too loud
When they hear me talkin' like this to you

That's when a sport was a sport
And groovin' was groovin'
And dancin' meant everything?"
We were young and we were improvin'

Laughin', laughin' with our friends
Holdin' hands meant so much, baby
Outside the club, 'Cherry Bomb'
Our hearts were really thumpin'

Say, "Yeah yeah yeah"
Say, "Yeah yeah yeah"

WW - Big Adventures of Little Caitlin - Part 2

As I promised last Wednesday the Adventure of Little Caitlin will continue today.

I am still getting over the horrible flu that attacked my kingdom. This is the worst ever.

Yesterday was a first day after 8 days of no being able get out of bed and function in any way. I was so excited with being able to get up, have a shower and start working.....till....I tried to get up and I twisted my neck and my back so I spent most of the day lying on a heating pad.

I am happy to report that I feel much better today. Little pain in my neck is not going to stop me.

So now that you are up to speed with my health lets move on and see what Little Caitlin has been up to.

Last week we left Little Caitlin resting in her Las Vegas hotel room after a big day full of adventures.

After a good night sleep Little Caitlin channeled her rebellious "biker duckling" streak and decided to "borrow" a bike from the Treasure Island casino.

As every girl Little Caitlin can't resist a good chocolate. So of course, her first stop of the day would be at the M&M's store Wall of Candy. So many choices, so little time.

After indulging herself with chocolate and doing some gift shopping Little Caitlin came across Nascar display at the M&M's store.Having the Need For Speed she decided to trade her TI bike for this sweet ride.

The long arm of the law was catching up with our rebellious duckling so Little Caitlin needed to blend in. She found the perfect spot - clock display at the Coco Cola store right next door.

It didn't take long for Caitlin to make  new friends - The Albino Couple. They didn't talk much that they were young and hip just like Caitlin.

They decided to meet for dinner and drink at the Rainforest Cafe inside the MGM hotel.Little Caitlin loved the Cobb salad.....

...but she really LOVED the fruity drinks.

After the wonderful dinner Little Caitlin decided to explore the Rainforest Cafe gift shop.Somehow it reminded her of home. Caitlin decided that it's time to end her travels and back her bags.

Unfortunately, she never made it  to her room. She was so exhausted and felt asleep at the elevator on the 21st floor.

Hope you enjoyed this little trip with Caitlin the Duckling.

WW - Big Adventures of Little Caitlin - Part 1

Little Caitlin spent her days sitting on a bathroom shelf. Her favorite time of the day was the bath time when her little boy let her play and swim in the bubbles. Sometimes the little boy would tell her all about the adventures he had traveling with his family.

Little Caitlin used to dream about the far away places. She used to plan all the adventures she would have and all the places she would visit if she would be lucky enough to leave the safety of her bathroom shelf.

One day as luck would have it little boy's family was planning another trip to Las Vegas. Little Caitlin loved all the stories her little boy told her about Vegas. The shows, the lights, the food. She wanted it and she wanted it all.

Suddenly, little Caitlin looked down and she saw an opportunity. There right below her was an open toiletry bag. She took the leap and hoped for the best.

Once the family arrived at the airport little Caitlin sneaked out of the luggage and decided to have an adventure of her life.

First, she stopped at the airport bar for a tall glass of cold beer.

After the arrival to Las Vegas little Caitlin decided to live it up and she checked into the famous Treasure Island hotel.

After little nap little Caitlin got hungry and decided to try the breakfast buffet.

After delicious breakfast little Caitlin wanted to do some sightseeing and shopping. What better place then Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace.

First she had little swim in the fountains...

...then she hopped on the escalator that took her to all of her favorite stores.

Little Caitlin was so excited when she entered the Ralph Lauren store and saw the perfect outfit for her.

She was so tired and hungry after all that shopping when she noticed beautiful Trevi fountain with restaurant right beside it. Little Caitlin is not a big eater so she ordered some appetizers and salad.

All refreshed and ready to shop some more little Caitlin decided to stop at the F.A.O. Schwartz toy store.
This is where she felt in love with pretty red bike that was little bit out of her budget, poor little Caitlin.

It was a long day for little Caitlin and she decided to return to her hotel room for a little rest.

Stay tuned for PART 2 of Little Caitlin Adventure next week....right here!

Loving You Years From Now

I am still fighting the nasty flu from last week and Average Joe is in charge of the household.

He's not as good as me in that department. That's given. However I do appreciate everything he's doing and I am so lucky to have him home right now.

Today, I decided to express my feelings with one of my and AJ's favorite songs by Dr.Hook.

Years From Now

Years from now, I'll want you years from now
And I'll hold you years from now, as I love you tonight

You are my one true friend, always my one true friend
And I'll love you 'til life's end, as I love you tonight

I know this world that we live in can be hard now and then
And it will be again, many times we've been down
But still love has kept us together, the flame never dies
When I look in your eyes, the future I see

Wanting you years from now, and holding you years from now
And loving you years from now, as I love you tonight.

I know this world that we live in can be hard now and then
And it will be again, many times we've been down
Still love has kept us together, the flame never dies
When I look in your eyes, the future I see

Wanting you years from now, and holding you years from now
And loving you years from now, as I love you tonight

WARNING: Those of you with weaker stomachs might proceed with extreme caution!!!

Don't say I didn't warn you!!!

Tuesday night family quietly watching their favorite TV show when LP decides out of the blue to talk about his classmate.

LP: "Mom, you know Ben?"

LP: "Ben, the new kid?"

Me: "Sure" (just to humor him)

LP: "You know which one?"

Me: "Yes, Ben" (me thinking please, proceed with your story commercial break is almost over)

LP: "Ben the new kid. The one that every morning sneezes and big boogers come out and he eats them....that Ben."

Me giving him a total grossed out stare.

LP: "The one that has gushing and huge slimy boogers running out of his nose every morning and then he eats them."

I warned you. I am grossed out as I type this.

Me: "Oh, that Ben" (thinking: for love of god go on with your story)

LP after repeating the gross part 3 more times in more details just to make sure I got the right BEN: "Well, his sister kissed him on the bus on the way home. That is just GROSS!!!"

Seriously child, you think that is GROSS? My stomach was turning before you got to the kissing part. It's good time for mommy to start her diet with guaranteed results....well, for a day or two.

WW - Raising Two DareDevils

While in California my children turned into regular DAREDEVILS.

Believe me, they didn't inherit that from me.

Hormone Boy went on every Southern California roller-coaster he could find. Knott's Berry Farms was his favorite playground.

There was MONTEZOOMA'S REVENGE

Followed by BOOMERANG

Then PERILOUS PLUNGE - a world-record 115-foot water chute at a revolutionary 75-degree angle -- just 15 degrees from sheer vertical

....and that's just few them.

Little Peanut being 5 years younger was not as brave, but he was holding his own.He decided to try some freestyle-flying LA style.

Vein, Vein Go Away & Viagra

What a week....what a week.

I am honestly trying very hard to keep this blog going and trying to keep all of you coming back day after day, but as much as I try things just happen and my poor blog gets behind again.

I have so much to share and so much to write. By the time I actually sit down I realize it's been a week.

Last week was no exception.

It's started with Halloween weekend which was also my best friend's hubs birthday. If you knew him you would understand why he was chosen to be born on Halloween of all days.

Seriously, I do love the guy. He grew on me over the years.

Since my bestie is not your typical Suzy Homemaker and spends lots of time running a company I was nominated (OK, I nominated myself) to be the cake provider for her family I love and adore.

Recently I got little more adventurous with my cakes. Bestie's hubs is a huge KISS and Gene Simmons fan. I mean HUGE.

I decided to surprise him with Gene Simmons cake. It did take days of planning and baking, but I think it was worth it. I left guy who never shuts up speechless.

Monday I had to go for a little procedure. I had to get my vein fixed. The procedure was not bad itself, but since my vein was ENORMOUS it took many injections and quite a bit of discomfort for the next 5 days.

I am still sporting VERY SEXY pressure stocking and I think that on my next check up the procedure will need to be repeated due to the original size.

It does look 1000% better even with the bruises around it, but there are still visible little pesky vein bumps. I just hope doctor won't decide to go for the surgery as the nurse mentioned before doing it.

By the time I was feeling better Wednesday came around and the kingdom was attacked by the seasonal flu. The whole kingdom felt down to it's knees and we were all praying to the porcelain god to let us see another day.

While the kingdom was under the weather we all watched to0 much bad TV and even more commercials.

Have you seen the Jack-In-A-Box newest commercial?

Well, I wasn't sure if he was promoting his Croissant Deal or Viagra. After watching it my 13 year old Hormone Boy pipes up: "Wonder if Jack just bought some Viagra shares?"

Maybe, just maybe they shoudn't air this during the day when kids are watching.....maybe just maybe they shouldn't air it at all since I just don't get what erectile dysfunction has to do with fast food.

In case you haven't seen it I am bringing it to you courtesy of YouTube.
