Queen of Average - (kwēn-uv-av′ər ij) noun
- when Perfect Princess marries Average Joe and embraces her average life, but still rules over a monarchy in her own right
I was not born in Canada, but I am proud to be Canadian for last 17 years. I can't imagine to live in a more beautiful country. We truly HAVE IT ALL!!! This is my home, this is my life.
I AM CANADIAN!
I think Joe said it all....
I am raising two proud Canadians and the last video is Hormone Boy's pick. Check it out....yes, we're COOL LIKE THAT!!!
Monday night Mr.Misery and I attended Dinner & Awards at Little Peanut's school.
Little Peanut was all excited that daddy is home and he gets to go with us. He was also trying to rub it in Hormone Boy's face a bit since daddy missed his by one day. Unfortunately for LP HB is a teenager and he couldn't care less. He didn't even want me there.
Anywho, LP got all dressed up for his big night, but when I asked him to pose for me (I wanted nice pictures before he gets all boys like/dirty). He was not very pleased with that.
This is one child of mine that was ready to pose if I woke him up in the middle of the night. This is the one child that would follow me: "mommy, take a picture of me".
Apparently that's not cool anymore....who knew.
He was ready to smile with one of his awards. That's my boy!

Wednesday FriendsDay is really cool blog hop. The linky not only lets you list your blog name, but also a short description. So it is an easy way to find new blogs you'll have things in common with.
It means so many things and not many of them are pleasant especially if you are a busy parent.
Things like:
It's Sunday night and you just realized June is over and your children need (or should have) presents for their teachers. They don't worry about it. They just remind you of it Monday morning when they are getting ready for a school bus.
Seriously, if you are a parent of school age children and you never been in that situation you are my HERO.
On the other hand if you don't want to admit you've been in that situation then that's a different story and there is a big possibility we would never be friends in a "real life" cause you have some major "perfect parent" issues.
Right now you are probably waiting to see how I took care of the gift crisis situation, don't you?
Ha, I got smart this year. Being the mother of the year so not I bought teachers gifts in January this year.
Oh, yes I did. Have you seen the after Christmas sales this year? They were unfreakingbelievable (I am sure that's a word). I was actually thinking ahead (so painful) and I got awesome presents for even awesomer (sure that's a word as well) price. My boys will be the most favorite kids in the class this year at least once a year - gotta throw them a bone.
This year since I am giving such awesome presents I was thinking to attach a little note to it:
"Dear teacher, please, be a sweetie and help a tired mother out. DON'T send the whole year worth of arts, crafts, poems, workbooks, exams and projects home with my son this year. Do tell my child that his work is so unique that it needs to be kept in school archives to be shared with future generations. I am running of storage space and honestly between you and me - Preschool stuff - ADORABLE, Kindergarten stuff - OH, SO SWEET, Grade 1 - CUTE .....beyond that NOT SO MUCH. I would be eternally grateful and next year I will throw in a batch of my Christmas baking and some Valentine's Day chocolate."
Signed: mother without a storage
I wonder what would happen?
I know few of my blogger friends are teachers. So here is a question for you: "Do I have a change to be crap, oops craft free this year?"
First , Mr.Misery came home Monday night with busted knee. It was swollen like nobody's business. Visit to our doctor revealed torn or broken cartilage. Now, he's waiting for a specialist, MRI and probably surgery. If everything goes well he'll be back at work by the end of August.
Then my children and my nephews started throwing up one by one.....stomach flu time.
Yesterday morning the bug decided to attach itself to me because, apparently, I have nothing else to do, but sit in my bed with a bucket and quietly cry in pain.
It's Friday and I am starting to feel better. The kids are back at school except HB and hopefully the worse is behind us.
Speaking of school. Summer holidays officially start next Wednesday. If you ask my kids they started week ago.
I have a decision to make. I need to decide if LP will remain in First Nation School or if I put him to public school like his brother and his friends.
As I already mentioned LP attends First Nations School (free private school). We are not First Nation people, but I signed LP for Headstart Kindergarten 3 years ago and he's been there since.
Many people around me can't understand why I would put my child there. They look down on everything that has to do with First Nation people.
It's so sad that FN people get such a bad rap. They've been through so much hardship as a nation.
There is many Native Bands across North America and yes, I agree some bands are lazy and violent. Majority bands are full of hardworking people trying to preserve their heritage, language and still be part of "our" world.
My son attends Osoyoos Indian Band school.
Osoyoos Indian Band lead by Chief Clarence Louie was always one of the most progressive bands.
The Osoyoos Indian Band with only 450 members manages businesses with annual budgets in excess of $l7 million dollars and administers its own health, social, educational and municipal services.
One of their services is Sen-Pok-Chin school that LP attends. I know one of these years I would have to put LP into public system due to SPC being very small (grades 4-7 have only 5 students).
I have been thinking if this is the year when I make the switch, but I love the school and the teachers.
When I walk into HBs public school (small school about 250 students) teachers and emplyees hardly say Hello. When I walk into LPs school everybody wants to chat and wants to know what's new.Not only the teachers and staff, but all the little children.
When some child (no matter what class) sees me walking in they start yelling: "LP your mom is here." Then they decide that I need their help to locate my child. It's so cute.
I made little list to help me make the decision:
School bus: to the front door/had to fight with school board to get it for my D-son Class size: 10/30 Lunch salad bar: FREE/$21.00 per month Family nights with dinner: once a month/NEVER Skating lessons: 8/3 Skiing lessons: 8/0 Swimming lessons: 10 (getting Red Cross badge every year higher) / 3
I think this list says it all.
In LPs school parents get free 1-hour exercise with instructor every Wednesday.
Recognition assembly in LPs school is big dinner with special awards (little Oscars) and making EVERY child feel special.
Recognition assembly in HBs school is one hour before lunch at the gym giving recognition to kids who don't really deserve it (some that do).
End of the school year trip for senior classes in LPs school is 4 day trip and HBs school is day at the beach (happening today - HB decided to stay home).
I think I will sign the paper today and let LP continue in his school.
Last week I braved the elements and took LP on overnight camping trip with his school. I was little worried since the weatherman assured us that it will be pouring rain for next few days.
I don't know what happened, but there was not a drop of rain and the only regret I had was that I didn't bring my shorts.
I have my own theory on the fantastic weather we were having.
LP attends Native School so I think some sort of Go-Away-Rain dance was performed on the morning of the camping trip.Well, whatever it was....THANK YOU!
We are not 1st Nation Natives, but I love the school and everything that it has to offer. Many people around me look down on the school and the 1st Nation people. The only reason they look down and would NEVER allow their kids to attend the school is because of IGNORANCE. (I will write a post about the school and our local Native Band soon)
With that said I ENJOYED our camping trip and so did LP.
Exploring after arrival
Enjoying delicious Bannock and Chili dinner
Little game of Tug'o'War
Evening concert with performances from 4 Native schools
Our own little performance
Almost quiet time....
LP pretending to sleep
The next morning.....
I am having a $30 Gift Certificate GIVEAWAY for CSN Stores so don't forget to ENTER!!!
Hip, hip hooray for surviving the camping trip and the weekend....

What are you up to today?
Btw, tomorrow I will start the giveaway for $30 gift certificate from CSN stores.Don't miss it !
As I mentioned yesterday I am off for next few days.
I will be camping with Little Peanut and his school on a beautiful lake in Vernon, British Columbia.
Before I go I need to share with you all my excitement.......drum roll, please!!!
My living room is officially finished (well, still waiting for the new TV).
It took a long time, but it's done. My little oasis finally got the look I was hoping for (pictures coming next week).
The last final detail were my new lights. Mr.Misery worked hard on his days off, but all the lights are up and working.
No more little sad dangling string with ugly light bulb on.
So I am off camping. Wish me well and pray for my sanity....
Oh, I almost forgot another exciting news.
I decided to do another giveaway through CSN Stores. This time around I will be reviewing a really cool item I picked for myself and also I will be giving away $30 gift certificate to one of you.

June is the busiest month in my life. If days had 36 hours I still would not have enough time to do everything I am suppose to never mind to take time to breathe.
This June we have Walk To Cure Diabetes, Relay For Life, 3 birthdays, recognition assemblies, award dinners, field trips, camping trips, doctor and dentist appointments......and the list goes on and on and on.
On Sunday we attended Walk To Cure Diabetes in support of my Hormone Boy. We had great time, raised some money and enjoyed sunny Sunday with the people we love the most.
Yes, he's kind of a big deal around here especially this time of the year.
He might be a teenager now, but he'll always be my baby boy.
The girls that ALWAYS will be there for him.
Part of Hormone Boys support group
We're off
The smallest member of our team couldn't make it.
We made it........
So now I am off to try and visit as many of you as I can. I will be leaving for two days camping trip with Little Peanut and his school Thursday morning and I won't be able to visit any of you till the weekend.
So have a wonderful weekend my friends.
Also I have been doing some cleaning around here and I decided to start eBay auctions again to get rid of some merchandise and clutter. Check out my auctions. Maybe you'll find something you need.
My dear friends and visitors, today post will be short, but hopefully meaningful.
As many of you know my baby boy you all know as Hormone Boy is not an ordinary child.
He is my diabetic child. He's been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes almost 5 years ago in December 2005 few days before Christmas.
The moment I found out that he has diabetes the world around me collapsed and I wasn't sure if we'll be able to go on and I didn't know how I will take care of him and keep him safe every minute of every day.
Here we are almost 5 years later. 5 years of tears, 5 years of fears, 5 years of new challenges and 5 years of learning about our strength and our weaknesses.
It's been hard and it's not getting any easier, but we are moving forward and taking it one day at a time.
My son is an extraordinary person and diabetes taught him a lot about life, love and friendship. It made him to face diversity and stand up for the underdog.
He was only 8 years old when he had to grow up overnight and be responsible for the rest of his life. He took it with stride and he is making me proud every single day.
My son is my hero and that's why tomorrow we all go out and walk with him and for him and for all the other little children with this awful disease.
Please, if you know any child with diabetes or a mom of diabetic child give them a big hug for me and Hormone Boy because tomorrow we will be walking for them as well.
Take a minute and watch these few videos.
...and little mommy humor I found on YouTube....this is just like ordinary day in my life
It's been awhile since I joined An Island Life for ALOHA FRIDAY. I missed it a lot so I am back this week.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that everybody takes it easy and looks forward to the weekend.
As a part of the game I am suppose to ask you one question.Nothing hard and nothing that requires long response.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog then go over to An Island Life and link up. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
Lately I've been going down the memory lane and watching some old TV shows. One of my favorite TV show used to be and still is The Golden Girls. I don't know what it is, but those ladies crack me up every single time.
I only wish I am that funny and good looking (Blanche of course) at their age. Having friends like that wouldn't be bad either.
Yesterday I saw an episode where the gals decided to make some extra money by breading minks. There was a hilarious conversation between Rose and Dorothy about Spanish Fly. I had to go and look for it on YouTube.....you're in luck. I found it.
So before you go and watch the clip my question is:
What is your favorite old TV show?
You know my answer already. Well, also Three's Company and Happy Days.
Have a fantastic weekend and see you all next week.
We are going to "Walk To Cure" diabetes on Sunday to support my Hormone Boy. We are still looking for donations so if you are wanting to help you can donate by clicking on the Diabetes Sneaker in the top of the left sidebar. Every little helps.
On Tuesday I left you at the movies and the gross popcorn. For those who didn't get the chance read Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Part 1 I'll wait till you go and read it.
As I said I loved SATC 2 and nobody can change my mind about that.
Anyway, after the movies we were suppose to catch a cab and go for dinner.
We noticed there is a pub beside the movie theater. How convenient, right?
Big light up sign on the roof was the giveaway. They were trying to confuse us with only UP being lit up, but maybe the P was silent.
We took the risk and decided to have a drink and wait for cab at the UP.
Perky 20-something waitress (PW) comes to take our order.
PW: "Coming from the movies, hot sexy mommas (HSM) ladies?"
HSM: "Yes, we are."
PW: " How did you like it? I saw it, but I didn't like it that much. I LOVED the first one. The second one wasn't even in NY, but some desert far away. The first one had lots of Carrie/Big drama. This one didn't.
Me: "Actually, we loved this one because it actually had a deep meaning and a powerful message. It was like an actual movie and not continuing of the series. The ABU DHABI was a nice change.
Me thinking: ".....and that's why you work at the UP. Bring us the drinks and leave the movie reviews to Ebert & Roeper."
Finally cab arrived and we were off to have dinner and more drinks at Cactus Club.
Since I've been mentioning our awesome cab drivers this one had a love for really bad country songs and ran over every curb in his way.
Once we arrived to the Cactus Club we decided to sit on their awesome patio. It was little chilly out, but with the burning torches, heaters and Peach Bellini's we were nice and cozy.
To sum it up....the food was fantastic, the drinks were out of this world and so was the toilet.
I am not kidding you.
To open the washroom doors you had to buzz yourself in with big red button.
Enter the other realm. The big mirrors have little TV screens in them for your viewing pleasure as you wash your hands.
The toilet needed instructions. As I entered there was big red button "Press before use. Stops automatically."
So of course I pressed it and nothing. I pressed it again and nothing.
Then I look above and there is big sign "EXOTIC FOOT FLUSH". I look around and there is little button on the floor you suppose to press when you're done. Well, that's the only part I was impressed with.
The toilet seat covered in crunchy plastic didn't impress me much and all night I kept wondering how do they clean it.
After fantastic dinner and out-of-this-world washroom experience we decided to walk to the hotel since we had just about enough with cabs.....and the fresh air and walk was needed.
Back at the hotel we all settled into our comfy beds and decided to watch little bit of TV. We found a show we all could agree on and we were totally into it.....till 3 minutes before the end the satellite went out......well, GOOD NIGHT, IRENE.
You know what? None of us were upset about it. At home we all would be probably swearing and yelling. That's what I call total RELAXATION.
The next morning we had breakfast at the hotel and headed to the mall for some activities that girls do best....SHOPPING and more SHOPPING.
As everything even our weekend had to end so it was time to head home to our families.
Not before I treated my best friend and my little sis to a lunch at my favorite European restaurant.
We all enjoyed our late lunch till three senior citizens came in and sat at the table beside us as we were waiting for our overpriced, but delicious desserts.
The only explanation I have for them talking extremely loud was that their hearing aids were turned down.
The worst part was not the awful, boring and oh so annoying conversation, but one of the ladies voice. She had this voice that pierces through your brain and you just wanna scream.
I though the dessert will never come.
We even had the pleasure to overhear it wasn't hard the conversation they had with their waitress.
One of the ladies ordered decaf.
L: "Is this decaf?"
W: "Yes, it is."
L: "How do you know?"
W: "I poured it myself."
L: "How do you know where it was on your tray?"
W: "Because I put it in the middle between the other two."
We managed to get out of their before one of us snapped.
We arrived home tired and relaxed at the same time.
It was the best weekend I had in a long time.
Thought: I think weekends away for moms should be a mandatory thing about 3-4 times a year and governments should have special funding for it.....because.....when mom is happy everyone is happy.
Also, I am doing little multitasking today. I decided to join Twitter Hop Thursday @ Simple Stacie

Remember my belly-aching last week? Yes, my birthday rant.
I am here to tell you that I had the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER. I just had to wait for it till the weekend.
My best friend and my sister decided to give me "Sex and The City" birthday that I will never forget can't, there are pictures.
It all started Wednesday and it was right in front of my nose.
My BFF gave me SatC pink PJ's and my sister gave me SATC scratch'n'win tickets.
Friday night Mr.Misery gave me perfume by SJP. Three clues.....one theme.
My birthday weekend started Friday night by going out for dinner to my favorite Greek place. Great food, lots of fun, people I love except my boys and belly dancing.
Saturday morning we had our awful wish I never had it yard sale. By noon I was sent to pack for Girl's Weekend Getaway.
I can't write details about the weekend due to this post being pages and pages long so let me sum it up for you.
After a hotel check-in we decided to go shopping for new swimsuits. As much as I dislike shopping for this particular garment it was lots of fun. I even managed to pick one up.
Once the swimsuit and snack shopping was out of the way the "real" weekend started.
First stop: taking a cab to Kelsey's Bar and Grill for half price appies and $3.99 daiquires.
Drive to Kelsey's turned out to be more eventful then we anticipated.
My sister is new to "cab-clubbing". Shall we say: "cab-clubbing virgin."
Lil' Sis had the pleasure to sit in front with out friendly East Indian cabby called Happy.
Happy was also quite chatty, but so was Lil's Sis.He was driving hybrid cab with lots of neat gadgets.
Lil' Sis: "So this is one of the High Birds, is it?"
Me from the back: " Yes, it's bird on crack. It's Hybrid, you wacko."
Lil' Sis: "Oh, so how does it work?"
Happy proceeded to explain the way high birds hybrids work.
Lil' Sis: "So you are not using any gas, right now?"
Happy: " That's right."
We arrived at our final destination. It's time to pay Happy. The fare was $14.90.
My BFF and myself got out and Lil' Sis the cab-clubbing virgin was in charge to pay Happy.
While still sitting she pulls out $20 bill and hands it to Happy. Happy grabs the bill and says: "THANK YOU."
Lil's Sis waiting for her change keeps sitting and looking at Happy. Happy is not moving just starring outside the window.
After the most awkward minute of her life Lil' Sis exits the cab and Happy take off as fast as he can.
You know how you remember your FIRST TIME forever?
Well, Happy took Lil' Sis's cab-clubbing virginity and she will remember it forever.
IT'S NOT A GOOD MEMORY......HAPPY!!! She wants her $5.01 back.
Luckily, Kelsey's had cheap drinks that day and we all had few, but no amount of alcohol will make us forget about Happy and his High Bird.
Next stop: movie theatre to see "SEX AND THE CITY 2". This time my BFF paid the cab to show Lil' Sis how it's done....
My opinion about the movie? I LOVED IT, I LOVED IT, I LOVED IT !!!!
I think it's better then the first one. As much as I enjoyed SATC 1 it was just like watching the series.
SATC 2 had strong message and meaning.
The message of strong friendship and support was uplifting and it made me realize that I might not have 3 forever friends, but the one that I have is forever.
As Samatha said: "We made a deal ages ago. Men, babies, doesn't matter. We are soul mates."
I read lots of bad reviews for this movie. All I have to say: "Instead of tearing this movie into shreds minute by minute look at the big picture. You knew who the characters are and how they behave that's why you are watching it admit it so look pass that and see the complete picture."
If you want to know what happened after the movies come back tomorrow for Part 2.
BTW, the butter on the popcorn at the movies was disgusting and gross. Just sayin'...
Yesterday didn't start on a good note and I thought I would spend it with my three friends Ben, Jerry and Chunky Monkey.
This was the first birthday since I met Mr.Misery that I didn't spend with him. Just that alone wanted me to crawl under my blanket and feel sorry for myself.
Unfortunately, I wasn't that lucky.
My mother showed up shortly after kids left for school. Don't get me wrong I love my mom, but she is JW and doesn't believe in celebrating birthdays beside other things.
So you see how she was the last person I wanted to spend the day with.
She wanted me to go for a quick trip to the city to help her pick out a paint for their kitchen.
My parents are in the middle of huge kitchen remodel and my father decided that he'd rather spend the month in our summerhouse in Europe and leave all the renovations to my mom so he can bitch about what was done wrong later and team of skilled professionals. He's caring like that.
So to the city we went.
The first clue that the trip will not be enjoyable: my mom was driving.
She's not a bad driver, but she has absolutely zero navigational skills and don't get me started on trying to find the "perfect" parking spot.
Then the conversation in the car. There are three topics with my mom - my sister, Kingdomhall and JWs and my bad financial situation. Hmmm, which should I pick when they all so pleasant and uplifting?
Ta ta ta ta tata ta ta ta ta ta tat tat ta ta ta......
I'll take kingdomhall for 500, Alex. At least with that one I just have to listen and nod.
Our first stop was Rona to pick out new paint. My dad did pick a paint before he left, but since then he called few times letting mom know that the color is not longer acceptable.
The second clue that the trip will not be enjoyable: I was there to pick out paint therefore I will be blamed if my dad doesn't like it. Happy Freakin' Birthday to me!
There I am trying to match colors to the tiles and cabinets when my mom disappears.
Where did I find her? In the kitchen design department bothering the lovely girl sitting in the office doing her work and minding her own business.
What was she doing? The million's change to their layout and cabinets. She had the girl to pull out their file and all.
There was people outside waiting for their "scheduled appointment" so they do can discuss their kitchen needs the PROPER way.
I walked in. The poor girl looks up.
Girl: "Hello"
Her eyes are saying: "Does she belong to you or a mental institution?"
Me: "Hello"
My eyes are saying: " I am so sorry. I will be taking her now. Sorry for all the trouble."
Her eyes: "That's OK. I understand. Blink twice if you're here against your will."
Me: "Mother, let's go.....NOW."
Mom: "But........"
Me: "Now! These people are waiting for their appointment."
You don't want to know what the people's eyes were saying.
The end result in Rona? She dismissed all the colors I suggested and picked her own. I should have known that.
On the bright side at least I had the chance to pick out and buy color for my windows trim, but not before I was reminded that I am there to help mom. Good times, good times.....
Next stop Safeway. Mom got overcharged for an item.....fill in the blanks.
Since it was getting late I was treated to a lunch. I made a mistake of mentioning that Mr.Misery will go and pick up our new sofa by himself with his truck on Sunday to save $70 delivery charge.
The result of that? Mom drove me straight to the furniture store to arrange delivery because she thinks that the sofa will not fit into Mr.Misery's truck and he will damage the new sofa before he gets it home.
After few more stops and two accusations of not being a good navigator we were on the way home.....30 minutes to FREEDOM, but not before this happened.
Mom: "So how old are you today?"
Me: "41"
Mom: " Wow, moving onto 50."
Me thinking and channeling my inner Kramer: " SERENITY NOW, SERENITY NOW!!!"
Finally we made it into my driveway, but not before I was informed that I will be responsible for writing a nice worded letter to Hyundai corporation to let them know what a liars they really are.
My mom is not happy with her new Hyundai Santa Fe gas consummation and she conducted her own tests and came to conclusion that her car gets lower mileage then Hyundai corporation claims. According to her 99% of the consumers don't care and don't check their gas mileage, but she does and it doesn't sit well with her.
BTW, I got into trouble because I fit into the 99% and I didn't know my gas mileage.
I was so happy I was home and alone and I could relax for few minutes before I had to make dinner for: my mom, my sister, my nephews, my kids and myself.
In case I forgot to tell you I am required to cook dinner for everybody for next 3 weeks till my parents kitchen gets done. My mom doesn't believe in eating out, but she does supply most of the food.
Are feeling sorry for me, yet?
Well don't.
After I fed everybody, cleaned the kitchen and of course washed all the dishes my awesome BFF showed up with her girls, flowers, gifts and of course cake with question mark candle.
We had some cake and we spend hours planning our big family vacation.
Only 100 DAYS till DISNEYLAND/SAN DIEGO/LAS VEGAS family vacation.
I don't visit lately, but my house is getting finished and that makes me really happy and when I'm happy I write much better and more often. So the way I see it we all win.
I've been inhaling too much paint fumes last 4 days so don't expect anything witty or deep.
For posts that make sense and maybe help here and there you should visit my Guide For Busy Moms site. Check it out. It's been hard lately, but I do try to post valuable content there.
Yes, it is my alter ego site. Being a Gemini (my birthday is tomorrow - just saying) I do have many personalities hence the three sites I have currently.
So let's move on. As many of you know my Hormone Boy is type 1 diabetic and we are trying very hard to raise money for "Walk For The Cure". One of the ways we are raising money is to having a massive yard sale with items donated from our family and friends.
We were going to have only ONE yard sale, but the first one didn't raise as much as we hoped it would so we decided to have two more yard sales.
This Saturday we are having final third yard sale to raise more money.
At this point I need to prepare myself mentally because I am getting so sick and tired of uncaring, selfish, rotten cheap people coming by and haggling trying to get everything for nothing. I do understand it's a yard sale, but come on people it is for a good cause and for my sick child.
Last yard sale this old dude comes in first thing in the morning and I see him checking out two brand new pairs of steel toe work boots with $70.00 original price tag.
I casually stroll by and strike up a conversation. He asks how much and reply $15 per pair.
He responds: "How about $15 for both?"
Me: "You can have both for $20 and that's an awesome deal. We're trying to raise money for my diabetic child and his charity".
The jackass old dude gives me the look and walks away.
Few minutes later little Mexican farm worker drives by on his bicycle. He's heading straight to the boots. Asks how much and hands me $15 for one pair and with a smile. God bless you, little Mexican farm worker.
Few hours later another old dude keeps checking out the second pair of the work boots.
10 minutes putting them on and off and on and off. I am getting so tired of watching him. Finally he asks about the price. It's almost end of the day and I just want to get rid of those work boots so I told I'll go for $10.
His cheap wife enters the negotiations.
Wife: "but they are one size too big"
Me: " ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????....that's too bad. It's a great deal."
Me thinking: Seriously lady. Are you freaking kidding me? What the hell is wrong with you! Do you go to a store, pick a one size bigger shoes or clothes and ask for a price reductions because it's too big for you? I don't think so. Tell your cheap husband take his smelly feet out of my boots and keep on walking. I'd rather throw them into the garbage then give them to you.
After I had my little conversation and freak out in my head I look over and the dude is sitting on a chair now and still trying them on. WTF!!!!!
Buy those damn shoes or go before I have a freak out outside of my head and go postal on your ass.
After another 10 minutes the wife comes over and offers me $8.00. I am so pissed off, but I want them and those damn boots gone. Honestly I don't think I could handle dealing with another old dude like this without casualties.
The deal has been made and I agreed. The cheap, rotten, scamming old dude picks up his one size bigger brand new $70 boots and hands me over handful of change with word: "Sorry, I am a nickel short."
Me with a smile: "That's OK, enjoy. My sick child thanks you for your generosity."
Old dude: "You're welcome" and takes off really fast.
I walk over to my cash box and start counting and sorting out his change.
I must apologize for my next choice of words.
That damn old freaking cheap bastard. He wasn't short a nickel. That rotten SOB was short 27 nickles.
.....and this is why I need to prepare myself mentally for our final YARD SALE.
BTW, thank you for listening and I am off to visit you all. Don't give up on me yet. Love you all.
