What was I thinking?
I am not sure, but lets blame it on the luck of ability, knowledge, skills caffeine that morning.
Few months ago I decided to change my Guide For Busy Moms website into more family friendly site to be used by majority of people not just moms.
Finally, yesterday morning I made a final decision on the new name and I purchased my new domain name.
I booked an appointment told him to be there or else with my skilled teenage web technician Hormone Boy for this weekend. He was hired paid with food and shelter to do the switch for me.

Did I wait, you ask? I am pretty sure you know the answer to that......NO!
After not having my usual morning cup of coffee due to issues I don't care to discuss right now nasty post coming I went to my office and then it happened.
I got overconfident, arrogant and thinking that I can do it.
It's nothing to it. Just click here, click there, change this and it should work.....in my dream world....not my reality.
In my defence I kind of explained my stupidity computer skills and my steps I was planning to take to the live support guy from my website host. He agreed....it should work........
So what went wrong?
EVERYTHING!!!
I lost it all! I lost my old site. I lost my new site. I couldn't enter my dashboard on Wordpress to switch it all back.
I should have waited.I should have listen to my child. I should have started NEW site and export it later.

After 5 hours ripping my hair out and swearing of anguish I decided to reach out for more live support. This time it was a girl. She understood me. She didn't judge. She was speaking my don't have a clue what I am doing language.
I was looking into complete restore....till
One hour later she had an idea and went to check something. Then she typed these words : MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Go check it out now!
I typed: SHUT THE FRONT DOOR. I LOVE YOU. YOU ROCK!!!!
The nightmare ended and I have a new site with a new name: Daily Organized Chaos
DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!!! (unless you have Cynthia to bail you out)

Oh gosh this is my worst nightmare to happen. I have backed up my blog so hopefully in the event I would have most of it. I have an 8th grader too...and oh yes, he is much smarter than I. Found your blog from the over 40 crowd...following you now.
This was so funny - I mean that in a nice way - been there & freaked out! The dreaded "can't access dashboard" - now I'm dealing with a missing website! Whoo hoo - love being (not) smarter than an 8th grader! Send your son to my house, OK? Visiting via Java's Over 40 Blog Follow!!
So glad it was recoverable!
I thought I had lost all my posts as well one time. It was scary and nerve wracking. Glad you didn't lose anything.
glad it worked out for you Ms. Bibi. BTW, I've been away from blogging for a while. Did you finish writing your life story that you started a while back? I'd love to finish reading it.
That sounds so stressful!!
