Almost Wordless Wednesday - Part Of History Is Gone

Another Wednesday is here and it's time to join my friend Marilyn @ A Lot Of Loves for Wordless Wednesday and Seven Clown Circus for Wordful Wednesday.

I live in a small town and last Sunday we were all woken up by the noise of sirens and cloud of smoke coming from downtown.

Our 98 year old hotel/pub/restaurant that has been recently renovated and given a new life was in flames.

Oh man, so you live in Oliver? I saw that on the news. And that OTHER fire too...do they think it might be arson or just some weird coincidence?

I have a WW post but unlike you crazy early posters it will be put up ON wednesday :op So I will be sure to come back and link up

Wow it totally burnt to the ground. What a shame. There was a fire in a heritage building in the town where I live a few months ago. It was destroyed too. All that history...

Smoke from a Distant Fire by John Townsend
Good pictures probably better than the local paper.

Aww..that's a shame. After all the renovating it looks like they had done. I hate when that happens.

I love small towns. What a tragedy! History lost and futures ruined. I hope that they were insured though nothing will replace what was destroyed. A true shame.

I live in a fairly small town too and we have had several fires on our local main street in the past 2 years. It is so sad to see history just destroyed.

That's so sad! Especially with the historical part being gone forever.

That's terrible news. Hopefully they plan to rebuild. It is always sad to see a part of history gone.
