From The Mouth Of Babes

Another Friday is here and as promised last week The Little Peanut Traveling Show is back.

Yes, Little Peanut had a good week and came up with some solid material to entertain you. I tell you it's hard to be a child of a blogger these days. So much pressure and talk about no privacy at all.

I am just glad that when I was growing up my mother was able to embarrass me only on a local level. On a rare occasion my little "Ooops" made it national across the domestic phone lines white slim line telephone.

My poor children need to deal with me spreading their business World Wide. Yes, that's the price they have to pay having a mother with a blog. That and having a pizza shop on speed dial with dad's credit card on file.

Anyway, I promised you little light Friday entertainment courtesy of LPTS so here it is.

Mr. Misery came home for a day in the middle of his work trip and brought us some freshly picked Blood Oranges from Arizona.

I love Blood oranges since I was little, but my kids never tasted them. The only oranges we get up here are Navel or Tangerines.

LP was very intrigued with the name and the redness of the oranges. As some of you might know the Blood oranges are not the best looking oranges so he was little hesitant to try them. Of course the name didn't help the case.

Once he had a bite of mine he was hooked. I think he ate 3 or 4 in one sitting.

The next day my sister's boys a.k.a The Beastie Boys (BB1 and BB2) came over. They were hungry so I offered them some oranges for snack. BB2 was all over the oranges. BB1 didn't what anything to do with them once he heard the name. BB1 has Asperger's so trying anything unusual is very hard for him.

LP really wanted BB1 to try some and this is how he went about it:

LP: You seriously need to try some of these. They are just sooooooooooo de-li-ci-ous.
BB1: I don't want to they look weird and ugly
LP: They look normal once mommy peels them for you
BB1: They are called Blood oranges and that's gross
LP: That's just a name. The trees don't really go around killing people and putting the blood into the oranges, you know.

BB1 still not convinced and now he's dealing with dead people and killer trees on top of it.
LP is not giving up.

LP: What do you thing the tree is going around whacking people to grow bloody oranges? It's just a red juice, not real blood.I am telling you they're delicious.

Well, LP didn't convince BB1 to try a Bloody orange and I think he had pretty good argument going there, don't you?

I have more material from LPTS, but it's Friday and I already took enough of your time. Some off you go now to spread more Comment Love.

Are you doing Friday Follow this week after last week's misadventure? I personally have had multiple people say they're following me and NOT be following me. I'm sorry, but I will NOT go over to your blog! I already read too many.

The trees don't go around killing people??? That's priceless.

I signed up for FF again, even though I really have conflicting feelings about it. I watch my GFC and only go follow those people.

Oh, and I want to put a sentence somewhere in my post that says, if all you do is say you are here from FF, I will NOT follow you back. I only want you here if you want to be, not just to get more numbers.

My son will not let me talk about blood oranges...I think for similar reasons...he won;t talk about it, but I am pretty sure he thinks it is real blood.

That is such a funny thought - the trees being s9ome sort og mob that whacks people. Priceless. I would so not eat them if that was the case.

I found you through Friday follow and I am actually following...and actually reading your posts!

Have a great weekend!
