The Bro Code & Friday Follow

It's Friday again and I am very sorry to inform you, that Little Peanut's Traveling Show won't be performing today I told him to step it up a notch so he's working on some new material.

Fans of LP would be happy to know that this past weekend LP reached his goal of eating 20 Timbits (donut holes) in one sitting after his hockey game. I am such a proud mother. Last week I wrote about importance of goals and reaching them. I guess LP's been reading mommy's blog and decided to change his life as well.

Instead let's talk about my soon to be hard to live with, obnoxious,hormonal  teenager the Hormone Boy.

Hormone Boy is a very smart child makes me feel stupid everyday. Yes, he is the "gifted kind" and No I don't know where he gets it from so stop laughing. In 5 weeks my preteen will become full blow teen. Am I ready? I don't think so.

That's not what I wanted to talk about anyway. As I mentioned HB is ubersmart . He's your typical geek bookworm. His love for reading and books is amazing. He can read 400 page novel in one weekend. Impressive? Well, he has nothing else to do anyway.

He reads inhales complete series like Twilight, The House of Night, Inkheart, Eragon, Percy Jackson, Mortal Instruments....you get the point. These are the books I find everyday on his nightstand and in his backpack to read in a school bus and during recess. These are the books I am used to.

This morning I got the shock of my life get you mind out of the gutter it wasn't Playboy or my Victoria Secret catalog.

On his nightstand right on top of The Battle Of The Labyrinth was.........BRO ON THE GO - new wisdom and selected classics from The Bro Code - for today's active Bro!

What is happening to my smart little bookworm? Did I lose him? When did this happen?

I am glad that Bro On The Go didn't replace his school bus reading material for now, but I am losing him to the DARK side.

Now I would love to share with you some of the "wisdom" that is Bro Code.

A BRO AT THE GYM: "God did not design spandex for dudes." (Exception: David Lee Roth in the 80's. That just worked.

A BRO ON A DATE: "A Bro is under no obligation to open a door for anyone. If women insist on having their own professional basketball league, then they can open their own doors. Honestly, they're not that heavy.

I have a feeling Mr.Misery will have little BRO talk after his return home.

In HB's defence I know he's just reading it for the laughs cause mama is raising a gentleman.

Friday Follow is about camaraderie, support, new friendships. Not all bloggers have the same interests, views and believes. I met so many wonderful bloggers in last 5 weeks and I learned lots from them. I admit I would never follow them if they didn't follow me and I would miss a lot of great blogs. Last week I didn't receive back 40 Follows out of 70  which made me little sad and dissapointed,  but such is life.

Guess what? I am back this week again and I am ready to PARTY.
